Works For Me Wednesday- Lovable Labels

wfmw   It’s another themed WFMW and the theme is “My Favorite Organizing Tip.” I don’t know what the back to school schedule is where you live, but here in Western Michigan most schools start after Labor Day so all the organizing I have been doing lately is regarding my calendar (it is CRAZY) and getting my kids back to school.

One of the main things to organize for back to school is all the stuff that has to go with them. The backpack, the lunch box, the supplies, the gym shoes….and then somehow making sure that a six year old  and three year old keep their stuff together. A nearly impossible task. I bought a label maker early this year and loved it, but oddly enough the kids got a hold of it and it is no more. Thankfully, Lovable Labels came to the rescue.

Loveable Labels is a Canadian label company that has over 400 independent agents, who are typically moms, across Canada and the USA. I have looked at other label companies and was really impressed with the selection and quality of these labels. They really stick and can stand up to the dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. I was offered a sample of their Back To School Mega Pack. Every kind of label you might need to get your kid to school was suddenly in my hands.

My kid’s favorite thing right off the bat were the mini-metal tags. Backpacks can be a bit tricky to label in a non tacky or obvious way, but these metal “dog tags” are adorable and, since they are metal, will probably likely hold up better than the backpack.  mini-metal

My personal favorite label? Got to be the shoe labels. Shoes are another hard thing to label. And Lily is required to label her gym shoes. I don’t even think we did it last year, but when I saw these I was excited. They fit right into the heel. And so far they have held up to the wear and tear of…..well being on the inside of the heel of the shoe. Which has got to be a rather unpleasant place to be. The other product I loved are there clothing dots. Unlike most clothing labels I have seen that have to be ironed or sewn on, these are made to stick right on the tags or inside liners of clothes (they won’t work directly on the fabric). We used them to label jackets and art shirts. They are obviously washer/ dryer safe.

Of course you also have your standard sticker labels and slimline sticker labels which we used to mark school supplies and water bottles. These things could easily label anything. I had to hide them from the girls who wanted to literally label anything and everything. There are also some binder/ book stickers which are wider and we are saving until my kids actually use binders.

The labels are very personalized. You obviously pick the name you want used (I used our last name so both girls could use the labels), the color scheme you want, then you can add one of about 30 icons. The result, adorable labels that have allowed me to completely get my kids all labeled and organized for school. I gotta admit, the cute factor is what really sold me.  berry-labels

The Back to School pack is offered at a value rate compared to what you would pay if you bought all these labels separately. And it is only offered until September 30th. It normally would cost you $44.95. But the wonderful people at Lovable Labels are offering my readers a 10% discount with the code DIAPERDIARIES through Sept. 15th. To receive the discount, to head over to Lovable Labels, choose the country where you reside (USA or Canada- there is no price difference per country), click on the Back to School Mega Pack (which is on the home page) and during the purchasing process enter your custom code to receive the discount.

There really are a ton of labels in the Mega Pack so if you have lots of kids there should still be enough. I have saved many of mine for future school years/ future kids so I think you really get your money’s worth. And frankly these things are just a lot more durable than my label maker ever was so it is probably OK that the kids broke it (not really, but this makes me feel a bit better.

What tips to you use to organize for back to school? If you want more organizing tips, head over to We Are That Family and see what her brilliant readers have to say. And thanks to Lovable Labels for providing me with a Mega Pack to review.
