Summer Whites

Remember that silly rule about not wearing white until after Memorial Day? Well that rule is long gone. And while I do have some lovely winter whites I wear all winter long, as soon as the weather gets even a little warm, I break out my whites. I know that a lot of moms are afraid of white, but I am hear to declare that white jeans (or shorts) and a cute summer white dress are something you most definitely need in your wardrobe.

Don’t. Be. Afraid. Be fearless in white.

Here are a few ways I have been rocking summer whites lately:

Look 1 is combining two fashion trends right now. White jeans and floral. I love this blouse and wear it at least once a week. Oddly enough this is the first time I paired it with my white jeans. But it won’t be the last.

I have been seeing a lot of whites paired with neutrals on Pinterest. This is my take on it. I would have preferred this look with some white Converse or Keds, but I don’t own any. That might need to be rectified…..

While I completely am of the belief that every woman should own a little black dress, I am also very pro little white dress. Perfect for summer weddings or date nights dining al fresco at your favorite restaurants. This one is a few years old but I break it out multiple times every summer.

If it isn’t bad enough that as a mom I might get spilled on, colored on, or puked on, I do have to worry about wearing white during a certain time of the month. I often just avoid white, but sometimes you just want to be able to wear what you want to wear. I don’t want my period slowing me down or stopping me from being stylish. Sometimes curling up in yoga pants and a sweatshirt is what I want to do, but other times I want to throw on a cute dress and hit the town with my hubby!

Kotex

When I want to be confident I choose U by Kotex’s new 3D Capture Core pads. They are super thin, but still keep me completely protected. I picked up mine at Kmart and got $3 instant savings through Kmart’s Shop Your Way rewards program when I purchased 2 UbK products. You must be a member for Shop Your Way to get the $3 savings, but it is super easy to sign up.

How do you wear white fearlessly?

  1. A) I love that white dress B) I super-love Shop Your Way Rewards!!!! They always send the best email deals too. I just got my lady parts worked on so my periods are super-light now, so bring on the white! I love the U by Kotex liners. Also, I can’t figure out how to spell pantyliners. Panty liners? Pantiliners? I don’t know. But I love them.

  3. White freaks me out. I’m terrified I’ll sit in something! But these looks are adorable. And my husband, for whatever bizarre reason, loves me in white, so…

  4. Well, super thin is the way to go, so I’ll give these a try. And that’s all I want to say on THAT topic, haha! As for white, I definitely do not wear it on the bottom anyway – no need to highlight the bigger areas, eh? However, I did try on a pair of white capris last summer, hoping to jump on this trend (with a long, flowy, colorful shirt/tunic with it). Sadly, they didn’t fit. Mayyyyyybe I should try again. Maybe.
