I was perusing Facebook the other day and a friend posted that her doctor informed her that as you near 40, you really need to start taking a multivitamin plus fish oil, calcium and vitamin D supplements daily. Not that I am nearing 40…..ahem…….but if I WERE, I should probably pay attention to that.
But outside of occasionally sneaking my kid’s gummy vitamins I am not really what you would call a regular vitamin user. I tried taking them when I was pregnant but they made me violently ill. And since them
But I walk into the drug store and am met with this:
Um what I am supposed to do with that? So I found out about the assessment at NutritionPossible.com which would help tell me what I am lacking.
The assessment was easy and quick. And I found out (not super surprisingly) that I need more Omega 3s and a multi-vitamin. It also suggested I could take phytonutrients. I hadn’t really heard of those before, but the site makes it easy to learn about all sorts of nutrition and vitamin info. And I loved how it took diet into account so that you really had recommendations that fit how you were already eating.
Best thing is I got a nice to a $10 coupon for the vitamins they suggest. I love a good coupon!!
Wouldn’t you like to get $25 bucks in addition to the coupon? I am always up for some free cash!! I am giving away a $25 AMEX gift card. The entry is a little different but still quick and easy. To enter:
- Take the assessment on NutritionPossible.com (it is really quick, I promise)
- Leave a comment sharing something you learned you were lacking
That is it! The contest is kind of a quick on and ends on Feb. 13th when the winner will be chosen at random. This giveaway is open to all U.S. and Canadian residents. You can view the official One2One rules for the giveaway here. Good Luck!
