Valentine’s Day Fashion Inspiration

During the last holiday season I showed you some of my favorite holiday dresses, but with one caveat. They were all dry clean only. Thanks to Dryel, I don’t really worry about labels anymore. With Valentine’s Day this weekend, perhaps you need some inspiration on how to look your best for a night on the town. I’ve put together a couple of outfits (and a bonus) that would be perfect for dinner, but also appropriate for many other occasions. With Dryel you don’t have to worry that they are dry clean only or worry about ordering the messy Italian dish you are craving.

Valentine's Dressy

Thanks to Taylor (#swiftie4ever), I’m kind of obsessed with a red lip. I don’t usually do so matchy matchy with my lips and my dress, but on Valentine’s Day the more red the better. With a short dress I like to keep the heel a bit shorter so I’m not getting confused with a working girl. I really have a crush on this whole outfit.

Valentine's Day

I used to think that pink and red should never be in the same outfit (apparently I learned nothing from Molly Ringwald). But lately Kendi (one of my favorite style bloggers) has been pairing all sorts of red and pink and I’m kind of obsessed. While I’m not quite as brave as she is (and let’s face it, I could practically be her mother- let’s go with older, wiser sister) I think this purse and shoe combo is a really fun way to take a little fashion risk. And the necklace!! #need

Valentines Sexy

Okay ladies, let’s be honest. Your husband doesn’t really care what you’re wearing to dinner. It is the lack of what you are wearing afterwards that matters. My husband is always lamenting that after the honeymoon all the stuff I got at my showers gets put in the back of some drawer for life.

Admittedly I don’t have a lot of lingerie. But on the rare occasion I break it out, I always get nervous about washing my “delicates”. Dryel is perfect for those as well. It is so gentle on your clothing!

No matter the occasion, don’t forget to check out Dryel at your local Walmart. It is a totally affordable alternative to washing delicates and dry clean only fabrics. Connect with Dryel on Facebook and Pinterest while you’re at it for other great fashion ideas.

What will you be sporting this weekend?

Disclosure: I am a Dryel ambassador and have been compensate for my time and provided with products to facilitate my review. As always, all opinions are mine.

  1. Jill! Cute outfits, and I love Dryel, but I don’t want to think about you and your lingerie!! GEEZ!
Seriously though, WHAT IS DRY CLEANING? I am way to lazy for that. Dryel FTW.

  2. I would not have thought to pair red heels with a pale pink purse, but I LOVE it! Cute idea! Totally heading over to the Dryell Facebook page, btw. I need to learn more about using it for delicates!

  3. LOVE red and pink together!

  4. I am searching for a good red lipstick. And I wear red shirts quite often, so you can bet I’ll be matchy-matchy once I find that perfect shade. ;) Also, I definitely need a new outfit to wear tomorrow night. To dinner! TO DINNER! Geez. Get your mind out of the gutter, lady.

    • I have been having a lot of luck with Almay. They have this perfect shade lipstick in berry, red and nude that matches your skin tone. I haven’t tried the red but I love the berry and nude for medium skin tone :)

I love these posts where you pair stuff together; I should try it.

And I’ve wondered how good Dryel works; I’ve never tried it. Hearing everyone chime in (but mainly what you’ve said) makes me willing to take the leap, ya know?

And apparently I’ve been in vogue since I was 5. That’s when I first put pink and red together ;).
