Things I Love Thursday- Infantino

TILT You might recall a while back that I told you I was part of a group of moms that was getting to try out new Infantino products. Well shipment number two has arrived and I gotta tell you, I am so jazzed about these two products. It was like they knew exactly what I needed and wanted.

FireflySoother First off, The Firefly Soother. When I opened the box and saw this I almost jumped up and down. You see, the little man’s room is decorated with a bug theme. It is super cute and I am always on the lookout for bug stuff to add to it. He had inherited the crib soother from his sisters, which was cute and all, but ocean life, not bugs. I didn’t care much until I saw this. I didn’t even know what I had been missing. It is made to look like a jar that has fireflies caught in it, a perfect fit. So crazy cute that even if you didn’t have a bug theme, I am convinced your baby would love it.

You can set it to play two different lullabies or nature sounds. You can also chose between, just music, music and light show or the full entertainment: music, light show and movement. I personally find the whole show a little much for winding down, but if I needed some entertainment in the crib while I took a shower in peace, it would be perfect. And when it is hanging on the crib, the button is in the perfect place for Silas to reach and push it himself. The “entertainment” lasts for 15 minutes and shuts off on its own.

EcoSash3 Secondly, I was sent the EcoSash carrier. Actually Infantino is releasing SIX new carrier designs so you have a wide range to chose from based on your needs. I chose the EcoSash because I loved the look of it and its versatility. You can wear the baby in front or on your back and, if they are in front, facing in or out. Also it grows with the baby allowing you to “wear” your child all the way up to 35 pounds. I absolutely love the print, but if you don’t it is fully reversible to you can have a basic black carrier (nice for the hubby).

It took a while to get the hang of getting Silas in and out of the carrier, but I have found the same to be true of other similar carriers. And I have found it is easiest to get him on my back if we both sit down to put him in, otherwise he is just way to wiggly. I thought the instruction manual was well designed with good pictures detailing how to place your child in each position. The carrier itself also has helpful reminders on it in case you get confused while putting it on (not that I know anything about that). I found the sling to be very comfortable to wear and enjoyed having Silas snuggled up to me on my back.

A few other things to mention about the EcoSash: there is a detachable hood for then the baby is facing in. This is really nice if your little one falls asleep and you want to shield him from well meaning gawkers and pokers. Also it is machine washable!!! You KNOW you are going to be thankful for this the first time your kid spits up down the carrier.

Right now (through Sept 1), if you head over to Infantino’s Facebook page and “like” them, you will be entered to win one of five bouncers (I reviewed it here). While you are at it, you might as well follow them on Twitter as well in case they have anything else up their sleeves.

I am a participant in a Mom Central campaign for Infantino and have received various Infantino products as part of my participation.

Now it is your turn. What do you love this week? Post, link, visit, comment, tweet. How’s that for simplicity? Here are the full Things I Love Thursday guidelines. Remember to link back here and spread the word. The more people that participate, the more people that visit your posts and the more traffic for everyone. Thanks as always for playing along in our little carnival!

  1. The EcoSash looks amazing. I have lots of friends who use those elastic wraps and are always adjusting and readjusting. The eco wrap looks much less complicated …which I’m totally a fan of!
