Things I Love Thursday- Huggies Washclothes

First let me start with something I don’t like. Construction. We suffer through some really crappy weather here all winter long which I realize take a major toll on the roads. But what is up with miles and miles (and miles) of cones and lane closures with no trucks or workers to be seen? FRUSTRATING!!

Now one more reminder of things that I love. We stayed at a Hampton Inn last night and I just have to renew my affection for them. I only want to stay at these hotels wherever I go. And this is despite the fact that there was a pair of boxers and a swimsuit hanging in the shower when we got in our room. You know the hotel is great when we can overlook such a “ew” moment.

Anyway, on with the show. What is the best part of a hotel stay? Well, besides someone making your bed and the breakfast that I don’t have to make. Gotta be the pool. The hotel we stayed at in Chicago had a hotel on the 30th floor overlooking Lake Michigan. How fun is that? But the dilemma is always afterwards. Clearly the kids need a bath, but they are missing all the usual bathing bells and whistles and frankly it has been a long day and I just want them clean and in bed already.

Enter, Huggies Washclothes. They are easy to transport. They already have the soap on them, so you just wet and bathe away. They are very soapy so I can pretty much get 2 kids done with one cloth which makes me feel slightly better about the fact that these might not be super duper environmentally friendly. Once the soap is gone, you can even use them to rinse them off. Then you just chuck the cloth, put the kids in their pjs, get them to bed and open up a bottle of wine to drink out of those plastic cups. Or maybe that is just indicative of 2 weeks of traveling with 2 small kiddos.

Wanna play? First, please check out the guidelines. Second, WE HAVE A BUTTON!! Am I the only one super excited by that? If you would add it to your post, that would be awesome. Third, Linky up (and cross your fingers I can figure out Mr. Linky on this new blog).

  1. I concur on loving these things…we got a box as a baby gift and I lamented when I ran out of them! :)

  2. Alas… I can’t say we’ve ever used them. I simply keep a stack of thin, soft, washcloths in an old baby wipe tub, drenched (but not soaking) in water and a touch of California Baby All Natural Shampoo and Body Wash. These go in the car, backpacks, on trips, etc… Mommy uses them as well. I simply place the used ones into a wet sack and toss in the wash.

    :)Cheers!

We got a box as a shower gift, too. They were wonderful! I would stash one or two in the diaper bag in a zip-lock. That way if we were ever out and my daughter (or me – sometimes leaky diapers would get on Mommy too!) needed more cleaning than a baby wipe could handle, I could just wet the washcloth and go to town. These are great for travel also. Thanks for this!
