Things I Love Thursday- Dove Nutrium Body Wash

tilt  If you have been following TILT for any length of time, you have probably heard me talk about Dove products more than once. I really think highly of their company and what they represent so whenever I am asked to review one, I always jump at the chance. Their campaign for real beauty where they use REAL women in their ads as opposed to anorexic models is so refreshing. And their self-esteem fund which tries attempts to reach young girls and counteract the assault from media telling them they don’t measure up is so up my alley as a mom of two little girls. Plus, I have honestly never been let down by their products so I like to try what is new.

Their current line of body washes lived up to my expectations. I love body washes. LOVE them. I haven’t used bar soap in years because I just love the whole body wash experience. Something about using them makes me feel like I am pampering myself even if I am only getting a 3 minute shower while the kids yell at me outside the door. I don’t know if you have seen the ads for the new line of Dove body washes with Nutrium Moisture technology, but basically the gist is this. Other body washes stay on top of the skin, but nutrium moisture penetrates the skin and goes deep which leaves your skin nourished deep down.

So that is great in theory, but does it work? So far, yes. First of all I love that this body wash is super thick. I hate runny, watery body washes. Secondly, my skin really does feel better after a shower. I have struggled with major ashy white legs all summer and after using this body wash, no more ashy. I don’t even have to use lotion afterwards. Thirdly, I didn’t have to use a whole bunch of product to get the effect. And that is saying something with my current girth. I am sure there are parts of my body that I can’t even effectively reach at this point. But the rest of me is quite moisturized.

The new body washes come in three different varieties: Dove’s Gentle Exfoliating Body Wash (with little beads. I LOVE little beads!!), Dove’s Sensitive Skin Body Wash, and Dove’s Deep Moisture Body Wash. Try them out and I think you will see results right away.

*I received a sample of all three new Dove body washes to try for an accurate review.

  2. Oooohhhhh, I definitely need to try this; I know what you mean about ashy white legs; mine are horrible even in the summer. The moisturizing technology behind it sounds wonderful….I love Dove anyway, so this would just be a plus.
