Things I Love Thursday- Cottonelle Wipes

Let’s talk poop for a moment shall we? Wait, put down your sandwich first and then let’s talk poop. Seems only fitting for a blog with a name and tagline like mine.

Let’s pretend that you are changing a diaper and get a little poo on your hands. That is the WORST. And unfortunately it happens from time to time. What would you do? a) Reach for a baby wipe and wipe it off? b)run to the bathroom and wash your hands? or c) grab a dry piece of toilet paper and wipe it off?

I am guessing you would not pick c. I would not pick c. So why, dear ladies (and the occasional gentlemen) do we use option c when we are using the bathroom ourselves?

Sidebar: I am immediately thinking of the scene in Austin Powers where Mike Meyers is in the bathroom stall with an agent saying “Who does Number 2 work for?” and Tom Arnold’s character says, “That’s right, you show that turd who’s boss.” That is neither here nor there, but it makes me giggle and is one of my favorite scenes in that movie.

Oddly enough, this is not my first time writing about my fondness for adult wipes. It appears I have no problem freely discussing my bathroom habits (way to go mom!!). We made the switch years ago and our heinies are ever so grateful. Or I am sure they would be if they could talk (insert inappropriate fart joke here). Our whole family uses them and throws quite a fit if we happen to run out. Thankfully, there are regularly deals on Cottenelle and frequent coupons so I can almost always score a deal.

Cottenelle has recently launched the “Get Fresh With a Friend” campaign and is giving you a chance to score a $1 off coupon for both you and a friend. Of course you will be sending your friend a coupon for adult poo wipes, but that might be just the thing you need to take that friendship to the next level. That is a special friendship indeed…..

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of the Cottonelle brand and received a sample to facilitate my candid review. In addition, I received a gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate.

What is it you are loving this week? Although it is probably not near as entertaining as my stories of poo, dated movies and deep friendship, give it a whirl. Write a post about something you love making sure to link back to this post. Then put your post’s URL in Mr. Linky below so we all can visit. Make sure to spread the comment love around. In case I haven’t mentioned it lately, thanks so much for participating week after week!! (Here are all the Things I Love Thursday details)

Funny, after you have kids, having discussions about poo just is completely normal. :-)

  5. “Give it a whirl…” Hahahaha…
I like them too. I don’t think I’m as passionate about it as you are though. :)

  6. LOL- I love how you so freely talk about things that so many would only whisper about with a few people. You go girl!!

  7. We don’t have Cottonelle over here, but I’ll tell you after three babies, we’ve tried all brands of wipes – some fantastic but expensive, some cheap and nasty. I’m kind of fussy about wipes, since i do the load (pun fully intended) of nappy changing around these parts. There’s nothing more awful than getting poo on your hands. No matter how much you wash your hands after that, you think it’s still there! My dad happened onto adult wipes later in life, and he said they were the best thing since jalapenos. You’re right – if we’re reluctant to use tp on a baby, why do our bums get the rough stuff? Well written!
