Things I Love Thursday- BBFF (Bloggy Best Friends Forever)

So sorry I have stayed away. It is hard to write blog posts when you are going to bed at 9:30 pm every night. How pathetic, but I am on the mend so I am back baby. And I have had some very lovely fans beg me to write again. Flattery will get you everywhere ladies :)

Last weekend I attended the Hearts at Home conference I blogged about here. It was so refreshing to hear about real moms with real struggles and get some perspective on what a blessing being able to stay home with your children is. I came home ready to be a rock star mom. And I would have been, but my kids refuse to cooperate. They keep being disobedient, stubborn and demanding. Seriously girls, how can I show you how patient and loving I am if you won’t let me. Help me, help you!!

But of course the conference was secondary to the MEETUP OF THE CENTURY!! I got to finally meet my BBFF, Jenny of Mommin It Up! We met, we hugged, we talked, we ate, we felt each other’s hairy legs. I wish I was kidding, but I am not. One of the sessions we sat in on had us feel our neighbor’s legs to let us know it is ok as moms to be mediocre sometimes. In true BBFF fashion, we had nearly the same amount of unshaven-ness going on. See, meant to be!!

Weirdly meant to be. We actually first found each other in the parking garage when we parked at the exact same time right across from each other. We have tons in common, except I am still unsuccessful in my attempts to get her to love wine. Cause I love me some wine. But I took her out to fancy restaurants and introduced her to my kids. Who were, BTW, in full on “oh my goodness there is a new person here for us to bounce of the walls in attempts to entertain” mode. Delightful!! We had so much fun hanging out and are making it a yearly event. I think Humphrey said it best, “This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.”

And since I have neglected you, dear readers, I am doing something I NEVER do. Well actually I am not, but Jenny did. There are pictures of the real life me (not the cartoon version you are accustomed to) over on her blog post about our weekend. As long as you keep in mind that I don’t normally have that little double chin and I was having a bad hair day and that the camera adds at least 20 pounds, you can go check it out. It might be a once in a lifetime opportunity :)

Got something you love? Then link on up.
