It is August. How the heck did that happen?? Summer is almost over and before you know it we will be back in sweaters and boots. We will talk transitioning to fall in a few weeks, but for now I want to hold on to summer just a little bit longer. This is the best month to take advantage of summer clearance. Here are a few of my picks to wind down the summer.
This is the perfect summer casual dress and could double as a swim cover-up. You could dress it up with a skinny belt and a statement necklace.
2. Maxi Dress
Have you bought yourself a maxi yet? If you are still nervous about the trend this price point is the perfect way to dip your toes in the water. I am currently having a love affair with navy so this one caught my eye.
I just got a new purse and Lily immediately said “That purse is so boring!!” I think this one might impress her a little bit more.
Every woman needs a little black dress. This one is classic but flirty. It was part of the collaboration with Kate Young and I think it is perfect.
5. Baseball Tee
I am also a firm believer that everyone should own a baseball tee. I wear mine in the summer on cool days and then all the rest of the year with jeans. A definite fave of mine.
You do have a chambray shirt right. How many times do I have to tell you they are a “must have” before you get one. I like the western detailing on this one and the two I have are rather dark. Dare I add a third chambray to my collection?
7. Denim Jacket
Another must have in any wardrobe. The perfect item to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall. I wear mine all. the. time.
8. Owl Tee
One would think I would get over the owl thing. But I just can’t get enough. This is adorable.
I have been on the hunt for a military jacket for a few years now. They always seem too boxy and unflattering. I love the nipped waist on this one.
You might recall I have this dress back from my Blissdom Land’s End wardrobe. It is so flattering and can easily transition with a cardigan. It is majorly marked down and now is the perfect time to snatch it up!
