Shopping the January Sales

January is a great time to build your wardrobe. Perhaps you have some Christmas money burning a hole in your pocket. Or perhaps you just see sales everywhere you turn and you want to scoop up that piece you’ve been eyeing for months. Whatever the reason, I thought I could show you what is on my wish list and a sneak peek at a few items I scored in my stocking this year.

My MIL got me a few things from Old Navy that were the wrong size so I exchanged for a few things a few days after Christmas. They continued my theme of sweater obsession that I can’t seem to break. Seriously. I need an intervention. Then again, with the winter I have been having, it probably isn’t a bad investment. (oh and some pajama pants, because duh)

Then I got some money from my FIL that I had planned on spending responsibly, but after months and months of hearing Shaeffer talk about this darn blardigan I felt like I needed to experience it. But $90 for some sort of weird robe/ sweater combo seemed insane. But Christmas money burning a hole in my pocket made it seem less insane. So I pulled the trigger knowing Norstrom had free returns. It came here in Wednesday morning and I am not sure I have taken it off since. Oh my word has this baby lived up to the hype. I am posting a picture of Shaeffer in it because the pic on the website makes it look super weird. It is the material of a robe but can totally be worn as a sweater. Long enough to cover your bum if you wear leggings, but also super cute with skinny jeans. Plus ombre. I want to marry this blardigan.

Okay now to the wish list. Land’s End has a bunch of stuff marked down and shipping is free over $50. Some of my favorites are marked down to 50-60% off. Oh happy day. Here are a few of my picks:

black dot jeans black dot jeansdouble breasted jacketstriped sweater

jeans, jacket, sweater (I own this and constantly get compliments on it. LOVE)

I know I showed you a few things I already got at Old Navy, but my wish list isn’t quite done. I have a $15 coupon, $10 credit and $20 Old Navy cash all just WAITING to be spent. Their clearance section is killer right now and several things I have highlighted before are crazy on sale.

jeans, dress, sweater (I have this with a J <obviously>, but it comes in lots of different letters)

Gap doesn’t have the greatest markdowns around, but they do have some things that are major steals. I hunted around for the best deals for my readers because that is the kind of blogger I am (some things may of may not have been added to my cart in the process it’s a sickness).

Target. The mother ship. I don’t even need to say anything else.

So what is on your fashion wish list right now? What’s your favorite from my picks?

  1. I “need” that J sweater! :) So cute! I am a sucker for initials/monograms. Also love the Tarjay coat. Target IS the mothership. Yo. ;)

The blardigan looks super comfy. I have a Barefoot Dreams hoodie/sweater from years ago that is soft like buttah.

    • It is the most amazing fabric. I seriously never want to take it off. And I love my J sweater. Plus you are a southern girl. You need a monogram ;)

  2. I’ve never even heard of a blardigan, but geesh, it’s looking quite appealing!

  3. What great finds! I’ve heard that many sales in January (specifically MLK weekend) are even better than Black Friday sales because retailers are trying to clear out their winter inventory. And the blardigan sounds fantastic lol!
