I am not a Halloween enthusiast. So I do the minimum to hold onto my good mom status. Unfortunately the minimum involves listening to my kids decide what they want to be for Halloween starting in………June.
And because they are kids they change their minds 738 times before Halloween. So by that time I am really, really grateful for all the chocolate.
So this year I took matters into my own hands and sold them on the costumes I wanted them to wear. They didn’t know what hit them. Well Silas is too little to know what is going on so he is wearing a hand me down from friend and will be an adorable fireman. Hannah is going to be a super cute giraffe that I found on Craigslist.
But Lily TOTALLY scored. She will be showing up to your door dressed like this:
She was vacillating between some sort of princess, fairy and pioneer girl (she had to dress up as a pioneer last year for school so we had the costume). When I showed her this she was over the moon. And how could she not? It is ridiculously adorable.
Pottery Barn has a whole line of kids Halloween costumes. Of course there are princesses and fairies, but there are also totally unique costumes like cupcakes and octopus. OCTOPUS! Is that not awesome? For the boys they have monsters, wolves and sharks. Every single one is different than what you will find amongst the typical costumes.
Right now all of Pottery Barn’s costumes are all on sale and shipping is free! I can’t guarantee that your kid will get more candy in a Pottery Barn costume but wouldn’t YOU give that girl her pick of the candy bowl??
Disclosure: I was provided with a costume to review. All opinions, as always, are my own.
