Oral Care for the Lazy- Works For Me Wednesday

I am not sure I have mentioned it before but I am really bad about taking care of my teeth. And if you are a person who gets a lot of cavities you are going to HATE me when I tell you I have never had one. You are also going to hate me when I tell you I just went the the dentist for the first time in *mumble, mumble* years. Ok, eight. And while I was there the dentist told me I have amazing teeth and am “doing an awesome job.”

Let’s do yet another post about how lazy I am, shall we. Brushing three times a day, flossing every day….ugh, that is just too much. So anything I can do to help me keep my mouth clean without a ton of effort I am all for.

I am excited to be participating in the Crest Pro-Health Invigorating Clean Multi-Protection Rinse Test Drive Program for the next month. I will be using their new rinse twice a day and letting you know what I think. I am not always good about using mouthwash, but it is actually the one part of a dental routine I don’t mind. I love the tingly sensation of a mouthwash and love the added protection I get from using one. And it is so easy to swish and spit.

I haven’t use Crest Pro-Health before, but a big bottle arrived today for me to try. And it has been show to help gingivitis which is one of the things my dentist told me I am at risk of. Possibly because of my aversion to flossing. I will let you know what I think at the end of the month. Happy brushing, flossing and rinsing!

I wrote this review while participating in a test drive campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Crest and received a sample to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central Consulting sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.

  1. I tried the Crest ProHealth rinse when it came out a few years ago and it just didn’t do it for me. I hope you like it! Maybe I’ll try it again and see if they’ve changed it.

  2. I am one of those people who has had tons of cavaties. All of my back teet are silver, except one tooth broke a couple of years ago and now it’s a fake white tooth, I love that tooth :) I will be very curious to see how this mouthwash works, I hope it is a success. Anything we can add that makes our teeth and gums healthier and is simple is a good thing.

I wasn’t the greatest at taking care of my teeth when I was younger but after pregnancy it started catching up with me! I also haven’t been the best at caring for my children’s teeth, and my 4 year-old just got 2 cavities filled and has another one between her teeth because I don’t floss her teeth everyday! I don’t even floss my own teeth everyday! Anyway, all that to say since my failure in protecting my daughter’s teeth I’ve been a lot more diligent and found a great resource that takes you through the stages of oral care from infancy to teenage years. It’s called the Mom’sGuide
