Last summer we gave up our cable, and honestly, we have never looked back. Occasionally if there is a sporting event that is only on cable we whine and moan a bit, but usually we just head to someone else’s house and benefit from their exhorbenantly high cable bill. It definitely has worked well for us.
I remember when I called the cable company to tell them we were going to discontinue cable and they kept making offer after offer to try and get us to stay. Finally I just said, “Netflix cost $7.99. Can you beat $7.99?” They proceeded to cancel my appointment without question.
This month I was asked to join the Netflix #StreamTeam and I am so excited!! I alreday use Netflix and am a HUGE fan. My kids can see all their favorite shows like Wild Kratts, Superhero Squad, Jessie and My Little Pony. Ryan and I have binge watched The Office, Parenthood, How I Met Your Mother, House of Cards and dabbled in watching tons of our “old” favorites like Chuck, Scrubs, and The Cosby Show. I haven’t even covered the movies. I mean, I found Heathers. HEATHERS!!
In case you aren’t familiar, Netflix is a monthly subscription services that allows you to stream unlimited movies and TV shows. You can stream movies on on your TV with a streaming media player or you can watch on your computer, tablet or phone. And at $7.99, it is way more affordable than your typical cable bill.
I would love for you to have a chance to try Netflix streaming for yourself or your family. I have a 3 month subscription to Netflix to giveaway!
