  1. Holy cow.
I’ve never heard of Rear Gear before and that whole concept gives me the heebies.

    DOOD.

    Love
and I have a few of those books on my nightstand. “should read but afraid to”
    yup.
    xo

  2. I watched Food Rev too. Very eye opening…unfortunately though it’s all about the money.

Ok, but the butt gear?! Really? That’s just too weird.

  4. What’s up with the Rear Gear being all sold out!

Thanks for the book recommendations- they’re now in my “wants” folder.

I saw the last 20 minutes of Food Revolution and can’t wait to go back and watch the whole thing. I really hope that his show makes people demand change in school lunches.

  5. I cut shopping short last night to make sure I was home in time for Food Revolution. Shocking, I know!

Reaffirmed what I’ve been doing and makes me want to try even harder to make sure ALL of my family’s food is actually food.

And that rear gear? Ummm, yeah I could stand to see a few less dog bum-holes.

  6. I’ve read so much about the Hole in the Gospel. I’m kind of scared to read it to…but I know I NEED to! Great list!

  7. I saw food revolution as well and was shocked at some of the food choices people make. I have to admit that most of the food that our school is doing is pretty good. The show makes me want to do even more fresh veggies and fruit and grow more of my own this summer.

  8. jennybek says:

I watched when he did the same thing in England on BBC-America. I was really excited to see he’s brought it here.
And I have to get my hands on The Hole in our Gospel. I’m afraid, too.

  9. I want to see Food Revolution.

And you really should read The Hole in Our Gospel. Seriously. Like tomorrow.

  10. Daughter and I love to watch Food Revolution. We have friends who make their kids take their lunches to school. We know a few families that took their kids off school lunches and their kids lost considerable weight. It was amazing!

Rear Gear? I can see our dog trying to get that little prize off her hiney… Can that really be comfy?

  11. I’ve been reading The Hole in Our Gospel for MONTHS. Normally I whip through a book in a few days! It’s just so HARD to read, so HARD to process, so HARD to stretch.

So yeah, read it. But you’re right – it won’t be easy.

  12. i’m so excited about “stuff christians like.” i’m a minister, which should perhaps make me defensive when it comes to making fun of christians, but oddly, i cannot think of anything funnier than capturing “the christian cliche.”
