Some people approach blogging conferences as a place to connect with brands, meet like-minded bloggers and learn more about their crafts. While that stuff is all important, I also think blogging conferences are a place to bring your style A game. Sure it means you are packing 7 pairs of shoes for two days, but it is all worth it because when else do you have a valid excuse to get out of your yoga pants.
Shortly before I left for Mom 2.0, eShakti reached out to me to ask if I wanted to review one of their dresses. Their dresses have a very retro kind of feel and I thought they would be perfect for the opening party which had a “garden party” theme.
I had my hair blown out and curled that morning thanks to Dove, the title sponsor of Mom 2.0, so it had a very retro vibe to it. I added a skinny belt, some red lipstick and retro bling and I felt like I was a 50s housewife at a cocktail party.
What I loved about the eShakti experience is that my dress was completely tailored to my needs. You have the option of ordering their garments in standard sizes or you can place a custom order. I entered all my measurements and then even was able to select the length (mini, knee length, midi), the sleeve (cap sleeve, elbow length, sleeveless, 3/4) and the neckline (scoop, v-neck wide neck) depending on the style of dress. I kept the length and sleeve as standard, but chose a more flattering sleeve for my body type.
I ironed the heck out of this dress, but the hotel room iron was totally faulty
I loved the wide selection of dresses on eShakti and they also carry adorable skirts and shirts as well. Everything is very reasonably priced for the quality and especially considering the fact you can customize things so well. I will definitely be shopping their site again.
Disclosure: I was provided with a dress for review. All opinions are mine.
