Looking For Some New Reads

I have been doing a little bit of messing with my blogroll. Taking some off that I don’t read anymore or don’t really post anymore. And I am looking to add some new ones to my roster of “must reads.” So I thought you all could help me out. What blogs are the ones you “can’t live without?” Cause I clearly need more things to spend time doing on the computer. Email, blogging, People.com surfing, Facebook and Twitter just aren’t consuming enough of my time. Right hubby?

Comments

  1. I don’t read many blogs, but I do read
Amy’s Humble Musings and Heavenly Homemakers. I checked out your blogroll and you have some great ones listed already!

The Happy Housewifes last blog post..Black Friday

  2. Keep It Classy, Jen says:

    I love http://www.wombattheinnsane.com/

  3. My 3 top recommendations are:

First, my sissy’s blog (although right now probably isn’t the best time to recommend it as she just called it quits, and then changed her mind. She is back to writing, so just scroll down a bit until you see real posts!) hotgarlic.blogspot.com

I also heart thesimpledollar.com for simple no-nonsense money talk.

And I read shedoeshair.blogspot.com to figure out how on earth I should do my girls’ hair each day. My middle daughter adores seeing the hairstlyes and then trying them out!

frugalisfabs last blog post..Redbox Code 11/10/08

  4. Lana Parks says:

I read momforhim.blogspot.com. Fun entries along with couponing and bargain hunting.

  5. Here are a few family tupe blogs that I have in google reader. Were you looking for frugal type blogs or crafting maybe? I have several categories in reader so if you want a specific type of blog to read just let me know.

  9. Money Saving Mom (though it’s not as good as it used to be) and Deal Seeking Mom are both daily reads for me. You already read Jenny’s blog so I don’t have to tell you about that one! Cheapsk8mom and Stretching A Buck are a couple I have read from time to time lately too…you can see that my frugal friend Jenny has me hooked on bargain hunting these days!

Melanies last blog post..He’s a big boy now…

  10. Happiness is finding me on your blogroll! I went through mine a couple of weeks ago but need to go back. Sometimes I find things on there I don’t think I’ve added and often people aren’t on there that I love. Arrgh. Too many lists – following, google reader, blogroll – for a simple mind like me.

debbies last blog post..Dorothy Hamill, Bruce Jenner, Kerri Walsh, and Me

  11. Other than my own blogs, the ones I read daily are http://blog.ezinearticles.com/ and http://wahm-articles.com/blog/ because I’m an article writer and then I love http://www.bloggingbasics101.com/. If I could only recommend 3, it would be those 3.

Audreys last blog post..Using Twitter In Your Direct Sales Business

  12. These are the three that I read daily, besides yours of course! All very different from one another. The first I know personally. Former teachers who are now editors of scrapbooking magazines.

  16. I just discovered Planet Nomad (http://planetnomad.wordpress.com/) thru Rocks in my Dryer (she did a post there recently) and it’s been really interesting to see what it’s like to be an American family living internationally. I’m glad that you did this post- I was thinking that I needed a few more to waste my time with :).

Candace (Mama Mia)s last blog post..Nothing like a reality check for a 5 year old

  17. Kathryn says:

I really like reading http://millionairemommynextdoor.com/ . I love her lifestyle of choice.

Her site was recently hacked and she is starting over (i.e., only has a few articles posted). From what I understand, she still has a copy of the articles from the old site. You may want to glance at it, if only for her hard learned lessons on keeping blog data and contact lists safe.

  18. May I suggest my blog? LOL

    And… http://themerlinmenu.blogspot.com/

    He posts great recipes!

    Beccas last blog post..Mytopia.com

  19. I think we must live in the same neck of the blog world because I already read a lot of your Bloggity Friends.

However, Cake Wrecks (http://cakewrecks.blogspot.com/) and It’s Lovely! I’ll Take It! (http://lovelylisting.blogspot.com/) are where I go for a completely un-mommy related laugh.

  20. Lizzie says:

Hiya…glad you posted this, as I’m totally going to trawl through others’ suggestions and steal some for my own amusement, LOL.

Have you read 6 Year Med? (http://6yearmed.blogspot.com/)

Think I found her via Rocks in my Dryer. One of those blogs you almost never come across – seriously, how often does a doctor blog? – but really poignant and simple. Instant fave.

    Cheers,
    Lizzie

  26. Jen@BigBinder says:

I think you read 100 times more blogs than I do; what can I offer you?

My comment is really just a plea not to delet mine; I promise when I am done working I will pick right back up with my demanding that people be madly in love with Grand Rapids and teach their offspring to do so as well.

I am going to have to check out some of the other suggestions above!

I’d love for you to have a read. I’m also being published! 61 of my devotions are coming out in book form on the 13th April 2009.
Have a look at the blog for details :)
Am new to your blog but am enjoying having a look around.
