A few weeks back I told you about spring’s hottest fashion trends. Although the current weather (it is freaking snowing here right now) seems to have not gotten the memo, it is in fact spring. And I am ready to ditch the heavy sweaters and various hues of grey and break out the spring wardrobe.
Thankfully it is always is gorgeous inside the Gaylord Texan. And thanks to my FABUOLOUS Blissdom sponsor, Land’s End, I was able to rock every spring have “must have” trend there is.
Day one was a travel day. Ladies we need to step it up in the airport. I see far too many women running around in pajama type frump. Sometimes in literal pajamas. I think I can prove you can be uber comfortable without sacrificing fashion.
Can we start with the shoes? These shoes are like slippers. I seriously can not say enough about how comfy they are. Perfect for traversing airports all day. The pants are seersucker (striped seersucker that apparently appear psychadelic in pictures). It is possible I might wear them everyday this summer. They are so light and springy and fit in a baggy, boyfriend style. And the sweater harkens to a retro baseball tee (super trendy right now) while at the same time giving you a splash of coral that is so hot right now. It would look equally adorable with a spring skirt. I have a feeling all of these pieces will be getting a workout throughout the spring and summer.
Thursday night was the kick off party which is usually a little less fancy than the Friday party, but I still wanted to wear something cute and dressy. This dress by Land’s End Canvas was perfect. Pastels are everywhere right now! Land’s End has fantastic cardigans in every possible color and they are really a classic that will never go out of style. And every woman needs a pair of nude pumps. Sadly these perfectly match my white, white legs…….
If I was forced to pick a favorite outfit from the conference it would be a tie between my two Friday outfits.
Two huge trends this spring are lace/ eyelet and printed jeans. Printed jeans can be a little scary (or a lot scary depending on where you are shopping), but I think these are a “safe” way to break into this trend. Plus I could wear polka dots all the live long day. And I love-ity, love, love this top. I got so many compliments on it and I am excited to pair it with a whole host of things in my closet. I have been scared to embrace the booties with skinny jeans trend, but I am so infatuated with these shoes. All my other shoes are getting jealous because I pretty much plan my outfits around them every day. It is becoming a sickness.
Friday night is Girl’s Night Out and always a chance to go all out fashion-wise at Blissdom. And Amber Riley, the Glee diva herself was performing so I knew I needed to get my glam on. What better to bring out the bling than sequins? The thing with sequins (in my humble fashion opinion) is that you need to pair them with something a little toned down. What better than a classic oxford? It is kind of a menswear inspired look on top and a sassy, sexy look on bottom. Plus leopard, calf hair heels? Rawr. I felt awesome and people were totally shocked this outfit was Land’s End. I just told them, “This ain’t your momma’s Lands End”.
I pretty much planned this whole outfit over my love of navy and green together. Navy and mint? Even better. This look is very classic Land’s End and brings together a whole bunch of trends right now. Nautical shirt. Stripes. Mint pants. Blazers. Driving Moccasins. All represented and they look awesome together if I do say so myself. The best part is each of these separates have endless possibilities to be paired with other items in my closet. You will be seeing them again and again.
Sorry this picture is so dark and grainy. Even inside the Gaylord they keep it dark at night. Saturday night is uber casual. Some attendees even wear pajamas. I think leggings are the closest we can get to pajamas while wearing clothes. Which is why I live in them. These Land’s End Starfish line leggings are amazing. They have a thick waistband which holds you in. A nice little feature in something made of spandex don’t you think? You can quite tell but this top has dolman sleeves and almost an off the shoulder look going on. It is super light weight so I think I will be wearing it way into summer. And these boots. They really deserve their own post. Because I am madly, truly, deeply in love.
My last traveling day I repeated the seersucker pants and moccasins (because duh) but paired it with this sweater. I didn’t snag a picture because I had to be up at 5 am to catch my flight. My dear roomate Mary took all my fashion pictures and I didn’t think that was good roomate ettiquite (you’re welcome Mary). I also didn’t get a picture of my GORGEOUS bag, but it got raves (and jealous stares) from many a Blissdom attendee. It was just a teensy bit too small for my computer (but my computer is kind of big), but it fit my tablet and all my gear perfectly. And the cross body style made carrying a breeze. A serious must have for spring.
The thing I heard over and over (and over) during Blissdom was “I can’t believe that is Land’s End!” I honest to goodness had people stalking me every even to see what I was wearing. And it was super fun playing “fashion blogger” for the week. If you want classics that will 100% stand the test of time, check out Land’s End. Land’s End Canvas has a bit trendier pieces that are just as well made. I loved mixing both throughout the week and have been wering these pieces mixed with my old wardrobe since I have been home.
