I am starting to become a shapewear addict. Three kids and I need all the help I can get. Smoothing, sucking in, flattening some things, pushing other things up and around…I CLEARLY need all the help I can get. It has become norm for me to wear shapewear not just when I am fancied up, but often times under my everyday clothes to help keep things where they are meant to me.
Jockey was one of the sponsors of the Blissdom Conference. About a month before the conference I noticed on Twitter they were promoting their new shapewear line and asking if anyone wanted to try them out and wear them to Blissdom. I immediately replied because I am always looking for new, affordable shapewear to add to my growing collection.
Now, let me be clear. They were asking for feedback, not a blog post. I am writing a blog post about it because I truly loved the product and wanted to let my dear readers know about it. And if you happen to be a reader who doesn’t need shapewear, I will try really, really, really hard not to hate you. Just move along, nothing to see here.
I was given the Jockey Hi-Waist to Mid-Thigh Slimmer to try out. Right off the bat I was skeptical about it working and even emailed my contact at Jockey. You see I have tried high waist slimmers before and they always rolled down halfway through the night. Do you know what happens when a tight slimmer rolls down over the part it is supposed to be slimming? It isn’t pretty my friends.
The Jockey Hi-Waist Slimmer was made out of a fabric that more closely resembled hosiery than whatever normal shapewear is. So miracle of miracles, it stayed up. The whole time. Hallelujah. Now the downside is it isn’t a super firm shapewear. It doesn’t hold me in quite as much as just smooths me out. I think if you want a really firm hold, you might want to try something more substantial. But if you are looking for something to smooth out the lumps and give you a bit of your figure back, this is a very affordable option.
Thanks to Jockey for the chance to try out their slim wear and your sponsorship of Blissdom. I was under no obligation to blog about it, so all opinions are all mine.
