I haven’t had a good pair of chinos in a long time. They are a great basic neutral pant when you get sick of wearing jeans. And these new chinos from JJill are the most soft and glorious pants. It almost feels like I am wearing pajama bottoms they are so soft and their waistline is so unobtrusive! I chose to wear the ankle pant, because I forgot my short self never works with ankle pants. I probably should have ordered petites, but instead I just rolled them up which I think makes them even cuter. Here is how I styled them in three different looks:
For this first look I went a little corporate. Although I think this outfit totally works as part of my “mom uniform” rotation I also think it works really well for office wear without feeling really stuffy. The light gauzy white tunic keeps the blazer looking springy. I kept it necklace-free because I really like the neckline of the top, but it feels like it could maybe use something delicate at the neck to me.Blazer: c/o Land’s End Top: Gap (similar) Chinos: c/o JJill Shoes: c/o Land’s End (similar)
This is my “pretending it is spring even though it is snowing out” look. I am kind of having a love affair with florals right now even though they have always seemed so girly to me (I rounded up my faves last week). This shirt is JJill as well and I swear they have some sort of butterflies weaving their clothes together. They are insanely soft.Shirt: c/o JJill Chinos: c/0 JJill Sandals: Younkers (similar) Necklace: Dayspring
This look is partly a cute style and partly a cry for help. I grabbed my denim jacket out of my spring closet (I haven’t brought my spring jackets out because sadly, I have not needed them) and holy cow is it boxy and way too big. Excuse to go shopping for sure. So pretend this is more fitted and stylish. I love the look of leopard and khaki. I kept everything else simple so that the leopard was the star of the show.Jacket: Gap so very old (similar) Tee: Target Scarf: Amazon (similar) Pants: c/o JJill Shoes: Crocs (similar)
