For the last several years I have been on the hunt for a great pair of gray denim jeans. I had a pair I got from Old Navy but I didn’t end up wearing them much because for whatever reason they just didn’t fit well. Baggy in the wrong places, tight in the wrong places. Just kind of a hot mess.
Well. In the words of Survivor, the search is over. I have found the perfect gray jean. The Marc Allison Gina in charcoal.
Here is the deal. Like anything in life, denim works under the “you get what you pay for” system. I tend to buy trends cheap, but for things I will wear for years, I don’t mind shelling out the money. Jeans are one thing where spending money on premium denim is totally worth it! And these jeans sum up everything about why.
To quote Marc Allison Jeans:
Our jeans feature a four-way X-FIT stretch denim infused with Supima cotton. As always, our fabric enables women to have an all-over hug to their shape, comfort and great recovery without baggy knees or saggy butts.
Gurrrrl. They are not lying!! I have other pairs of premium denim. Nothing on earth is as soft as these jeans. The initially felt a little tight going on but then once they were on they were by far the most comfortable jeans I own. The perfect amount of stretch and give but they fit like a glove. I cannot say enough about the comfort of these jeans. And all my cheap jeans get baggy and saggy after a few wears. Look at these babies!!
oh hai, booty shot
The Gina cut is a great cut of jean I didn’t even know I needed. For the most part, they fit like a skinny jean, but they have a slight flare at the bottom so they look like a bootcut. As you can see I can easily wear them tucked into my boots like I do my skinnies, but I can also wear them over a regular shoe like a bootcut, as you will see below.
jeans with heels, so impractical, but so sexy
