Frugal Friday- Free Valentine's Day Phone Call

frugal-friday-2-736462 Do you know about free 411 yet? If you dial 1-800-FREE-411 you can get directory assistance to anywhere for free. The only catch is that you have to listen to a short advertisement before you get the assistance that you need. I think that is more than worth it to avoid the fee. They will even text you the number so you have it for future reference.

But that isn’t even what this post is about. Cause today, you are getting two frugal tips for the price of one. On Valentine’s Day, Saturday, 1800FREE411 is letting you make a free 10 minute call on their dime. Now I know in this day, a lot of people get free long distance with their cell phone plans, but if you don’t want to use minutes or still pay for it on your landline, this is a good deal.

You have to call within the US (Hawaii and Alaska count). If you call from your cell phone you will be using minutes. You can’t call 900 numbers (good golly I hope not). But other than that, it is just a free phone call to someone you love. Enjoy spreading the frugal Valentine’s love!

I’ve went to using 411.com on the computer and it’s FREE all the time and you can find business numbers and personal numbers. It’s saved tons! Love your blog and LOVE all your ideas! I read all the time.

  5. you can also try 1-800-THE-INFO (1-800-843-4636) for free directory assistance. I have that one saved in my phone.

  6. This is a really great tip, because I use 411 all the time and it drives my husband up the wall.

And, quite frankly, it’s not like I need any help driving him insane.

  8. I had totally forgotten about the free 411 #! I’ve used it in the past and it’s great! Thanks for the reminder.

  9. Also, 1-800-GOOG411 is free and there’s no advertisement…i love it.

  10. I know someone already mentioned Goog-411 but I just have to say I love it! I use to program restaurant numbers in my phone, but now I feel like I have a phone book with me all of the time. I recently used it to order flowers for my mom from a local florist who is 700 miles away from me…while I was driving my car!! Okay, the car part isn’t safe, but it was way cool!
