Five Wearable Trends for Fall

Fall Trends

We are having this glorious Indian summer right now. While I am most certainly enjoying every last second, the fashion side of me is thinking about boots and sweaters and jackets and BOOTS!! I’ve been looking into fall trends and am thrilled to report that not only are they super adorable, they are all super wearable and not difficult to incorporate into your wardrobe. I’ve pulled some of my favorite looks of Pinterest and also a few affordable pieces so you can rock these trends all fall long.

Leopard

I don’t know how many times I have mentioned that you need to jump on this leopard trend, but thankfully it isn’t going anywhere. If it still scares you just embrace a scarf or some shoes or a belt. But this fall you can also “go big or go home” with leopard print. Just imagine less Peg Bundy and more Princess Kate when you are choosing which pieces to wear.

Winter Pastels

I always think of pastels as a spring and summer thing. But I must say I am loving the look of warm wintery pastels and it is a nice way to get some more wear out of your spring purchases. Think lots of layers,  pale muted neutrals and winter whites.

Midiskirts

This trend also appeared in the spring and I admit, I didn’t embrace it because I thought it was going to be short lived. But I love the lady like Mad Men vibe of it all. And full skirts are so nice to give you a defined waist. When it is still warm out pair your skirt with open toed booties, but don’t be afraid to pair them with boots as the weather gets colder.

Plaid

This might be my favorite trend of all of them because it reminds me of my early college days when grunge reigned supreme. Plaid is so comfy and cozy and feels like being wrapped up in a blanket. If nothing else make sure you have a plaid scarf to get you through the colder months. Although the idea of a plaid coat is calling my name.

Grey

Grey can seem quite boring and even downright depressing, but I love these looks with monochromatic grey. Grey skinnies are one of the hottest things for the fall. Through in a few touches of black or even brown and you look super minimalist and classy and not the least bit boring.

  2. I am working out like a crazy woman and plan on being able to wear my gray jeans again when the weather cools off!! I won’t mention what grade I was in when I remember being all about the grungy plaid … but I think I could embrace a plaid shirt again. Maybe minus the babydoll tee and purple fingernails I wore with it.
