Display Your Child's Artwork- Works for Me Wednesday

Let’s be clear. I have a little bit of a Pinterest addiction. I  pin things all day long. But like many things in my life, I have a follow through problem. While this is VERY good when it comes to the volumes of desserts I pin, it isn’t so good for all the things I think are great ideas but never do.

So last weekend I decided to actually DO something I had pinned.

One of my favorite things about my kid’s school is their commitment to the arts. While many schools are being forced to make cuts in those areas, our school has some of the most impressive art and music teachers around. So my kids bring home amazing works of art that, until now, I have not had anywhere to display (unless you count the fridge).

I have had many ideas through the years, but never pulled the trigger (again, with the follow through). And then I pinned this on Pinterest.

Well a few weeks ago I just happened to get an email from a deal site that was going under that I needed to use up my deals. I had completely forgotten that I had purchased a voucher for some wall word art. So I ordered the above quote immediately.

It came in the mail last week and I spend Sunday afternoon getting the room rearranged and the wall art adhered to the wall. Then my handy hubby rigged up the wire, the kids brought out their long forgotten art and I stood back in wonder. I finally had my dream art wall. Every time I look at it my heart is full. Maybe I need to embrace this follow through thing more often……

What have you pinned and followed through with?

  1. I made the Mini Lasagna Cups, using wonton wraps…..my kids LOVED them.

  2. I have a goal to make a recipe or craft/project that I’ve pinned once a week so that all the time I waste on Pinterest is worth it. So I started a Mission Accomplished board, and move pins over to that board once I’ve completed them. It’s helping to hold me accountable.

  3. Love it! It’s so easy to switch out art, though I must say you’ve got a mighty fine display there.
