Blissdom Bounce Brigade

image Perhaps you have heard that there is a little blog conference coming up called Blissdom? I know, I know!!! I will try not to be too annoying in talking about it, but SQUEE!! It is one of my favorite events of the year. And this year I have even more reason to be excited. I am being sponsored by Bounce. Why am I so excited? Because when they asked me to be part of their Bounce Brigade, it was such an obvious yes. In all the years I have been doing laundry I can honestly say I have been a loyal user of Bounce. Then two years ago at another (lesser Winking smile) bloggy conference I discovered the Bounce Bar. I have been hooked ever since.

So as part of the Blissdom Bounce Brigade there will be two teams, Team Bar and Team Sheet. And the stars have aligned and I am TEAM BAR. I seriously need a shirt since my love of the Bounce Bar is undying. You know about this wonder of innovation right? You take a bar, stick it inside your dryer and walk away. You don’t have to EVER remember to throw in a dryer sheet. Occasionally you just check the bar to make sure it hasn’t worn down, but when it has it literally tells you to replace it. Is there any greater thing in life then an invention that celebrates my laziness? I think not. And no other fabric softener has anything like it. It is brilliant. Of course Bounce has a classier way than “lazy” to describe a bar person.

If you’re always looking for savvy, high-tech ways to achieve automatic results, you are a “bar person.”

Well doesn’t that make me sound far more awesome. I am going to throw around that phrase every time I am feeling a little lazy. No time to go to the gym cause I am looking for savvy, high-tech ways to achieve automatic results. I think this is going to have a lot of applications.

I wish I could tell you that I am faking a bit of excitement since they are sponsoring me, but if you would have seen my unpack all my swag from that conference, you would have seen me freaking out to my hubby about how wonderful this thing is. I was briefly obsessed telling everyone I know. In fact I got a few free from some drugstores sales and may have passed them out to a few people. I actually just went back through some old posts seeing if I had talked about it and was shocked to see I hadn’t. I am not sure how this oversight has happened.

Would you like to join me on Team Bar? Or are you perhaps on Team Sheet? (if so you are dead to me. Just kidding. Don’t go away.) Here are some ways to figure out which team you on:

•Do you use bagged salad or a head of lettuce? Do you use the elevator or take the stairs? These characteristics say a lot about you and can mean you are a “bar” or “sheets” person.

•If you’re always looking for savvy, high-tech ways to achieve automatic results, you are a “bar person.”

•If you’re someone who loves to freshen every area of your life—from the laundry room and beyond—and wants freshness made to order, you are a “sheet person.”

So are you Team Bar (AWESOME) or Team Sheet (LAME)? Let me know in the comments or better yet, put up a widget letting the world know.

  1. I am definitely Team Bar…even though I’ve never heard of this bar. I usually use liquid- not a fan of the sheets, but a bar would be so much easier! Can’t wait to try one!

I don’t use fabric softener, Mary because it makes my towels not dry as quickly. Did you know that? So like if you are reusing your towels after a shower, they don’t dry as well b/c the fabric softener kinda keeps a film on them. (Or something.) OK. Pretty sure Bounce isn’t gonna want me on Team BAR or Team SHEET. *sigh*

      • I did know that – although it’s been a recent discovery. (“Discovery” as in, someone told me. Not that I figured it out for myself.) So I don’t use softener with towels. But I DO use it with everything else!

  7. Team bar! They are so easy to use and since we are only a family of three, it takes months before one bar runs out. I totally understand your excitement :P!

I am with Amanda. I just use vinegar so much cheaper and it leans the lines! Now what could be better?

  9. I’m a Downy girl for sure but I do love the Bounce Bars. It’s the only thing besides Downy I’ll use on the clothes. So go Team Bar!

  12. I LOVE the Bounce Bar! Although it always falls out of my fab Frigidaire dryer, does it stay in yours? Even though i WANT to be on Team Bar, I’ve been buying sheets since I got the new machine. Can’t wait to see you at Blissdom next week! xoxo

  13. I’m neither either… I have wool dryer balls since any kind of fabric softener is a no-no with cloth diapers. Sometimes I use sheets for things that get static-y even with the balls though as it’s so dry here.
