2009 Recap

New-Years-Carnival  Found this fun little carnival over at my bloggy friend Jo-Lynne’s blog Musings of a Housewife. Thought I would play along for funsies. Head over and link up if you want. So without further ado, I present to you the first line of the first post of every month.

JANUARY

I got to ring in the New Year smoochin’ my hubby.

Did that this year too. That seems boring. Maybe next year I will shake things up a bit. Just kidding sweetie!! My lips only have eyes for you.

FEBRUARY

I am lovin’ your enthusiasm with this Challenge ladies!!

Oh yes, The Challenge round 2. Love how you all got on board for this. And a few babies were even born as a result. I am hoping to come up with something equally fun this year.

MARCH

I bet you thought by the title today’s challenge was going to be very exciting.

More challenge. Dang I need to take my own advice. It is amazing how having a baby can really derail the marital relations.

APRIL

If you have read my blog for any length of time you know my struggle with living green.

I think we have really improved in this area. This year I want to tackle our obsession with paper towels. And by our I mean my hubby’s. Microfiber cloths here we come.

MAY

This particular challenge isn’t working so well for us at the current moment because I never know when the “not feeling so hot” preggo moments will strike, but it has worked for us in the past.

Ah remembering morning sickness. Remind me to read these when I want a fourth kid. Actually you won’t have to. The huubby reminds me quite often how not fun I was this last pregnancy.

JUNE

This is the time of year where it seems like everything is changing.

Thankfully they were all good changes. Overall this was a year of really good changes. Here’s hoping for more of the same in 2010.

JULY

It has been a while since I have done a TILT post without a review attached.

Are you linking up to my weekly carnival yet? You should be :)

AUGUST

When I was pregnant the first time, I am pretty sure I didn’t sleep well.

What kind of moron complains about not being able to sleep when they’re pregnant? Apparently one that has forgotten how little sleep you get when you have a newborn. Sigh….

SEPTEMBER

It’s another themed WFMW and the theme is “My Favorite Organizing Tip.”

Sadly, if you saw the current state of my life, you would be shocked I had any organizing tips at all….

OCTOBER

It was a while ago when I first heard about Woot.

I need to get more of my Woot on in 2010. Man I love that site.

NOVEMBER

Let’s be completely honest.

One of my favorite posts of the year and a constant reminder to lift each other up.

DECEMBER

So it is themed edition of WFMW this week : Gift ideas

Some of my favorite people have Etsy stores. Go buy stuff.

Let’s not forget one of the best parts of 2009. The arrival of my favorite little man. We became a family of five and are loving every minute of it. Can’t wait to see what 2010 has in store for us!!

Comments

  1. Happy New Year! What a fun meme :) I can relate to the sleepy unorganized days with a newborn, hope we can introduce our littles at blissdom, though I’m not sure I’m going to be able to make it. :(
.-= steph´s last blog ..50 posts floating through my head, not much in your reader =-.

  2. Old tee shirts make the BEST paper towel replacements. I chopped up a bunch of them and keep them in a drawer or bin in several rooms of the house. I hardly ever use PT anymore. And seriously, who doesn’t have a billion of those old things!
    .-= anne´s last blog ..Raw Milk =-.

  3. Fun to read your old posts! I started reading your blog when I first started back in February! Thanks for all the great posts! Looking forward to them in 2010!

  4. Speaking of complaining about being pregnant- when I was pregnant with Baby #3 (who was a surprise) I told Hubs that I didn’t want to discuss a permanent birth control solution until after she came and I was in my “right” mind (I’m still not in my right mind). When I was about 8 months pregnant I told him he could schedule the appointment because I never wanted to be pregnant again! He did wait until Baby #3 was about 4 months old and we’ve never looked back. I’m a terrible mom when I’m pregnant (extremely tired and irritable) and I just didn’t want to put my kids through it again.

  5. What a fun post! I even went through the exercise myself (though I am not sure I am going to post it). It’s really nice to look back at the year’s posts.

Thanks for playing along for funsies. :)

  6. Are you going to do THE CHALLENGE again? I definitely want to participate this year. No babies in my house. :)

    • I’ve thought about it, but I feel like since I have done it twice people might be tired of it and I don’t think I can come up with 20 more ideas :) Maybe I should do a poll?
